Gwyneth Paltrow posts sweet tribute to her mother Blythe Danner on her 78th birthday 

Gwyneth Paltrow has shared a loving message for her mother, the actress Blythe Danner, to celebrate her 78th birthday.

Gwyneth, 48, posted the sweet tribute on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a stunning selfie of the lookalike pair alongside the message.

Writing about her mom’s love for ‘eating leftovers’ and her grandchildren, the actress gushed that ‘this beautiful creature fills out hearts with so much warmth.’

The sweet selfie saw the mother and daughter cosy up for the camera, Gwyneth wearing a cosy grey sweater and glasses and Blythe in a colourful shirt. 

The accompanying caption saw Gwyneth gush about her love for her mom as she wrote: ‘This beautiful creature fills our hearts with so much warmth.’

‘She gets words and names mixed up in the most hilarious and unique of ways. She is full of life and incredibly strong.’

‘She loves her grandchildren more than anything in the world. She loves Bill Evans, eating leftovers and keeping her own company.’

‘I admire so many things about her and today is her birthday. Happy birthday from the bottom of our hearts, your family loves you so much mommy.’

Gwyneth is the daughter of Emmy and Tony award winner Blythe and director Bruce Paltrow, who sadly died in 2002.

His cause of death was due to complications from oral cancer, which he had been suffering from for several years, and pneumonia.  

Back in August, Gwyneth was joined by her mother and daughter Apple, 16, to talk about two new products from Goop in a video shot by husband Brad Falchuk, which also saw the three generations discuss their close bond.

The trio sat down in Gwyneth’s garden at her home for the conversation about skincare and ageing.

When Apple asked grandma Blythe and mother Gwyneth a series of questions, with the first being: ‘What advice would you give your younger self?’

Blythe cheekily answered: ‘Grow up,’ and Gwyneth quipped: ‘Get your s**t together man!’
