Janet Street Porter left fans in hysterics on Monday morning after gamely attempting to cut her own hair on live television.
The outspoken presenter is adjusting to a fifth week behind closed doors as the country continues to abide by strict government mandated rules in the fight against the novel coronavirus COVID-19.
And with so many Brits suffering mixed fortunes after trying their hand at DIY haircuts, Janet, 73, did her best to trim her growing fringe on the latest edition of This Morning.

Appearing from home, the Loose Women panellist covered her head with a shower cap while attempting to follow a tutorial led by celebrity hair stylist Michael Douglas.
Admitting she hardly ever washes her hair, Janet revealed she last had it cut and styled more than a month ago – shortly before Prime Minster Boris Johnson laid out plans for a nationwide lockdown.
But the apprehensive presenter prompted belly-laughs from co-hosts Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby after expert Michael admitted home haircuts were challenging.

‘Cutting your hair is quite risky,’ he told her. ‘There’s one way for it to go right and a million ways for it to go wrong.’
Pulling the shower cap tightly over her hair, Janet tentatively began snipping at her fringe, but immediately panicked after convincing herself that she had taken too much off.
‘You’re hardly taking anything off,’ urged Phillip from the ITV studio. ‘More Janet, more!’
However she remained adamant that her home haircut had gone the way of so many others over recent week, telling the hosts: ‘I think I made a mistake somewhere. I’ll comb over it.’
