He got his start as the heart and soul of a group of hockey-playing underdogs in The Mighty Ducks film franchise.

And this weekend, actor Joshua Jackson was feeling nostalgic about his roots when he spotted a fan on the street wearing a Mighty Ducks jersey and decided to approach him.

In the Twitter video he posted Friday, the Dawson’s Creek actor, 42, filmed the fan from behind, clearly displaying his jersey which said Conway and the number 96.

The shirt was in the colors reminiscent of the movie – white, crimson and grey, with teal greenish-blue along the bottom.

Joshua quickly approached the man on the rainy street, and complimented him with, ‘Nice jersey’ as he came around his side.

Before the video ended, the superfan replied ‘Thanks,’ but sadly Jackson did not film his reaction when he inevitably realized he was speaking to Charlie Conway himself.

The Fringe star captioned the brief clip, ‘In other news. This made my day today…’

Joshua portrayed the iconic character of Charlie Conway first in 1992’s The Mighty Ducks, when he was 14 years old.

He reprised the role twice more, in sequels D2: The Mighty Ducks in 1994 and D3: The Mighty Ducks two years later.

It wasn’t until 1998 when he hit it big again, enjoying a five-year stint playing Pacey on the hit teen drama Dawson’s Creek.

Much more recently, the father-of-one announced he will be taking over a starring role from Jamie Dornan in an upcoming Peacock series.

That show, entitled Dr. Death, will see Jackson portray Christopher Duntsch, the former neurosurgeon who is responsible for the death or maiming of 33 patients while working at hospitals in Texas.

So far the actor has not confirmed whether he’s going to be a part of the rebooted Mighty Ducks series for Disney+, which is currently filming.
