A night doula provides in-home overnight support for families that have just welcomed a newborn baby – however the service in not cheap, with The Mirror reporting Kate’s could potentially cost up to £140 per night.

She told fans on social media: ‘I’m going to hit the hay soon because our night doula Siobhan is going to be here.

‘Every time she comes we promise ourselves we’re going to go to bed at 9.30pm and we don’t. We go to bed at 11…’

Then and now: Kate and Karen had appeared to have barely aged when the photos from them in their twenties and now were placed alongside each other

Kate also admitted that she and her partner Martin had had the ‘hardest day’ yet with their little girl last month as she confessed that things had ‘really got to her’.

The new mother took to Instagram at the end of the day with bleary-eyed snaps, admitting she felt like a ‘bad parent’ for struggling to get her baby into a routine.

Though Kate was celebrating her little one turning two months and had shared a family snap marking the occasion, she remarked that she wished the ‘job’ of a parent was a little ‘easier’.

She wrote on her stories: ‘Noa is two months old today. It was also one of the hardest days for us so far.

‘She cried constantly, hardly slept, feeding was stressful both boob and bottle.’

She went on: ‘Why is it that every time you think you’ve turned a corner, you have a really bad day?

‘She still smiled at us, made us laugh but also things really got to me today.

‘The pressure to have a routine and for her to be sleeping more, it makes me feel like a bad parent because we aren’t there yet.’

The former Big Brother star continued: ‘Still wishing I found this job easier and felt happier.

Thankfully I had the handsome who has sent me to bed and is staying downstairs with her until 2am. I should get some shut eye.

‘Big love to all of my fellow new parents out there. If you’re smashing it well done, if you’re not coping well, stay strong.’
