‘We’re overjoyed’: Macaulay Culkin and Brenda Song welcome first child… and name him after his late sister who died after tragic car accident
Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin is a dad.
The former child actor, now 40, and girlfriend Brenda Song are ‘overjoyed’ after welcoming their first child, a baby boy named Dakota, last week.
The name is a touching tribute to Culkin’s late sister, who passed away in a car crash in 2008.
The healthy baby boy was born Monday, April 5 at 1:10pm, in Los Angeles, weighing 6 pounds, 14 ounces, according to Esquire.

The private pair, who met on the set of Changeland in 2017, did not announce they were expecting beforehand.
Before Dakota’s birth Macaulay and Brenda were just parents to a brood of animals which include three cats, a few fish, a Shiba Inu, and a blue-headed pionus parrot.
The Richie Rich actor revealed that he and the Suite Life Of Zack And Cody stand-out were trying to start a family at the start of last year, joking to Esquire: ‘We practice a lot.’
‘We’re figuring it out, making the timing work. Because nothing turns you on more than when your lady comes into the room and says, “Honey, I’m ovulating.”‘
The couple have an overwhelming love for one another, with Song telling the men’s magazine: ‘You can’t be around him and not be happy.’
