Selena Gomez sports a leather skirt while on set of Only Murders in the Building in New York

She was recently covered in fake blood for a gruesome scene in her upcoming Hulu series.

And Selena Gomez looked worlds away from her on-screen character while on set of Only Murders in the Building in New York City on Monday morning.

The 28-year-old actress sported a trendy leather skirt with a sweater as she made her way into hair and makeup ahead of another busy day of filming.

Selena’s black leather mini featured a row of buttons down the front, which she paired with sheer black nylons and chunky brown leather boots.

She stayed warm underneath a navy blue sweater with grey sleeves cuffed around her wrists.

The Hands to Myself singer wore her dark brown tresses parted down the middle and straight past her shoulders. 

She played it safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic by wearing a bright blue disposable face mask and she carried a cup of coffee in one hand.

While Gomez looked chic heading into the office, an entirely different scene played out the other day as she was covered in fake blood while filming.

Cameras were rolling as Selena was placed in handcuffs and led to a waiting vehicle while her ivory turtleneck sweater was stained in dried blood as she walked with her hands cuffed behind her back. 

In her latest venture, Selena stars alongside Steve Martin, Martin Short and Vanessa Aspillaga in a drama about ‘three strangers who share an obsession with true crime and suddenly find themselves caught up in one,’ according to IMDb.

Her year in front of the camera (and microphone) has just begun as she’s also slated to work on In the Shadow of the Mountain and will also lend her voice as Mavis in Hotel Transylvania 4.

Nearly one year ago, Selena released her third studio album, Rare, which was followed up by a makeup line in the summer, Rare Beauty.
