Melissa McCarthy, 50, celebrates the 10 year anniversary of her smash hit film Bridesmaids with hilarious throwback photos: ‘I’d marry you all over again!’


It has been a decade since the hit comedy film Bridesmaids was released in theaters. 

And Melissa McCarthy shared some hilarious throwback snaps on her Instagram to celebrate the anniversary.

On Friday, the 50-year-old actress posted three photos from behind the scenes of the 2011 Universal Studios movie that launched her to stardom.

In the first photo, Melissa can been seen posing with her castmates Wendi McLendon Covey, Maya Rudolph, Kristin Wiig, Rose Byrne, Annie Mumolo and Ellie Kemper.

‘Who knew the recipe for joy would involve vomit, a carpal tunnel glove and a kangol hat. Happy 10 year anniversary Bridesmaids!!! I’d marry you all over again,’ McCarthy wrote in the caption, adding heart and flower bouquet emojis.

Following their meal, the group went for the bridal gown fittings and all became extremely ill while wearing their gowns.

The star played Megan, the foul-mouthed sister of the groom Doug (Tim Heidecker) in a scene-stealing part.

The role has been considered McCarthy’s breakout performance and earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.

Melissa went on to star in the hit sitcom Mike & Molly and films including Identity Theft (2013), The Heat (2013), Tammy (2014) and The Bos s(2016).

However, Melissa shot down the idea of doing a sequel without Kristen, telling E! Online‘I think it’s a terrible idea. I don’t know anything about it. But I know that nobody wants to do it unless it’s great. If it is, I will show up wherever those ladies are.’
