Mindy Kaling was in high spirits as she enjoyed dinner at Giorgio Baldi in Santa Monica on Saturday, May 15.
As she exited the celeb-friendly restaurant, the 41-year-old actress unknowingly drew attention to the massive diamond ring on her ring finger.
Kaling, who is notoriously private about her personal life, flashed the ring while holding her black leather handbag in front of her.

Aside from her striking ring, the Office star had on a flowing patchwork top featuring animal, floral, striped, and polka dot prints.
Mindy accessorized with some gold hoops that coordinated with the hardware on her handbag.
She completed her night out ensemble with a pair of black leggings and some pointed stiletto heels.
Once photographs of Mindy and her ring surfaced online this week, fans of the star wondered whether or not she may have gotten secretly engaged or married in recent weeks.

But Kaling has not spoken publicly about being in the midst of any sort of romance and her various social media platforms seem to suggest she is happily single.
Over the years, fans of Mindy have hoped that the star would rekindle her romance with former boyfriend-turned-bestie B.J. Novak, whom she famously worked alongside during her stint on The Office.
‘We kind of fell in love through [writing for the show], and then dated on and off for a couple of years, and now we are just, like, best friends,’ said Kaling of her relationship with Novak in a 2012 interview with Vulture.
Novak once described himself and Kaling’s relationship to Entertainment Weekly as ‘pretty inseparable best friends with a lot of chemistry ourselves,’ as per an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

Although she insists they are strictly platonic, the Wrinkle In Time actress told CBS Sunday Morning in 2019 that she doesn’t mind people assuming things between her and Novak are ‘more romantic.’
‘I’ve known [Novak] for 16 years. We met each other when we were 24, and we’re about to be 40. Anyone who’s known each other for that long … I think it’s nice, I like when people think it’s more romantic or sparkly or interesting than it is,’ she explained.
Mindy also revealed that B.J. is the godfather to her now three-year-old daughter Katherine.
‘He’s really part of my family now, which is great. Even though that’s less of a sexy characterization of our relationship, I think it’s a deeper and a closer one.

Despite the privacy, Kaling recently revealed during #WOW2021 that having a baby in lockdown is not an experience she wishes to repeat or would ‘recommend.’
‘I don’t know if I recommend everyone having a secret pregnancy during a worldwide pandemic, but I will say I learned a lot from it,’ she said.
She referred to the experience as ‘Definitely like a once-in-a-lifetime type of thing.’

The writer remarked how she is ‘inspired by parenting where the parents don’t scream. If you can not scream at your children, I think you’re a good parent. To me, people who do not blow their top and also can stay on a consistent message.
‘That to me — I’m the most impressed by those people,’ she added.
The Office star is a single parent but has help from friends and family raising her two kids, and she admitted that her scriptwriting has benefited from being a mom.
She was also very clear about how her situation would not necessarily be the right fit for many of her fans, as she noted: ‘Being a single mom is not for everyone.’
