‘Ironing out the crease of life’: Rod Stewart demonstrates his domestic side as he irons clothes in the STREET in hilarious snap

Rod Stewart demonstrated his domestic side over the weekend as he shared a snap of himself doing the ironing – out on the pavement.

The 76-year-old star took to Instagram during the dead of night on Saturday to share the image of himself stood beside an ironing board outside.

In his latest picture, the musician stood on the side of the road wearing a white shirt, a tweed waistcoat and a blue, green and yellow striped tie.

His outfit was finished off with a pair of khaki trousers and brown leather shoes.

The star stood behind an ironing board working away on a brown shirt – though the iron wasn’t plugged in anywhere, with the end of the cable visibly swinging around beneath the board.

Also bizarrely, it seems as though Rod chose to pose behind the ironing board during the night time, with a powerful light casting a thick shadow behind him.

Rod posted the picture alongside the caption: ‘”Ironing out the crease of life” #laundry #ironingboard’.

She said: ‘He was anxious of course. Like anyone out on duty, we are putting our lives at risk but for a good cause.

‘I said don’t worry as soon as I am back at the station I will call.’

She continued: ‘Rod is still the rock star I met but he’s seen a lot of change in myself.

‘From turning into a mother of two and then changing career to be a police officer.

‘I couldn’t have gone ahead with that unless I had his support.’
