Shane Warne launched the Run The Tan charity fundraiser in Melbourne this week.

And on Saturday, the retired cricketer was proudly cheering on the participants taking part in the fun run in the city’s iconic Royal Botanical Garden – where the event’s name ‘The Tan’ derives from.

The 51-year-old proudly applauded the runners striding past him on the 3.827km long track surrounding the park.

He dressed very casually for the event with a black hoodie, white T-shirt and track pants.

Unfortunately, the cricket commentator was not equipped for the run wearing only a pair of slip on casual shoes, rather than running trainers.

He was seen talking to fans and even taking selfies with them.
