Sophie Monk’s fiancé Joshua Gross is revealed to have paid $50,000 for her custom engagement ring

Sophie Monk finally confirmed she is engaged to her long-term partner, Joshua Gross, on Friday after months of speculation.

And now Daily Mail Australia can exclusively reveal that Josh, 42, paid a whopping $50,000 the engagement ring, which he helped Sydney jeweller Luke Rose design.

‘Given they met on a plane, They came up with the diamond set under rail that has the curves of a cloud,’ a source revealed.

‘Basically, the ring is all about “two become one, up in the clouds”,’ they continued. 

The shank of the ring is in two parts at the back, that then becomes one towards the top where the diamonds are set.

Luke’s bespoke engagement rings start at a few thousand dollars and can go up to around $80,000. 

Sophie and Josh first met on a flight from Europe to Australia in August 2018, and shared a kiss after enjoying ‘three champagnes’ in business class. 

They grew closer when Joshua helped Sophie recover after endometriosis surgery in November. Around this time, she also began the process of freezing her eggs.

Josh was pictured leaving the 41-year-old’s favoured jeweller on November 24. 

The former Love Island Australia host shared the happy news with her Instagram followers on Friday afternoon, posting a picture of herself cuddling up to Joshua. 

‘Told you I’d tell you guys first. I’m engaged,’ she gushed in an accompanying caption. 

‘I honestly can’t thank you enough for all the love and support. I know I have the coolest people following me and you’ve always had my back and I feel so cared about.  

‘You’re absolute bloody legends. I’m not very good at being mushy. I’m trying to say I absolutely adore you. @joshuargross and I are so happy.’
