The best Easter Eggs for your money

We all love to indulge over Easter, but if you’re watching your waistline, some options are better than others.

Online marketplace OnBuy.com looked at medium-sized eggs from a wide range of popular brands in order to identity which ones were the most calorific, and which carried less guilt.

They looked at bundles which weighed between 115g and 213g and included one egg and one extra treat.

Online marketplace onbuy.com looked into how much calories the most popular Easter egg bundles contained, with the Ferero Rocher egg leading the way with a staggering 1,320 calories (pictured: graphic of the study provided by onbuy)

They found that the worst offender was the Ferrero Rocher medium egg, which counted 1,320 calories – over half the recommended daily intake for men and women.

The KitKat Chunky Easter bundle, which counts a chocolate egg and two KitKat chunky bars, came in second place with 772 calories.

In third position, the Mars Easter egg, which also comes with two bars, contains 756 calories, closely followed by the Cadbury Bourneville, which counts 748, and the Dairy Milk Caramel egg Easter treat, counting 723.

The least calorific egg was none other than the M&Ms Choco, with only 492 calories for the whole pack of chocolate and sugar coated nuts.

The much beloved Cadbury Cream Eggs, which are known to be rich in calories, actually fell in the middle of the pack in eighth place, with 713 calories.
