TV presenter Laura Jackson reveals she has given birth to baby boy called Remy James in a VERY speedy home delivery as she says: ‘my husband caught him on the living room floor’
Take Me Out: The Gossip presenter Laura Jackson has revealed she has given birth to a baby boy called Remy James Gorrigan, in a very speedy home delivery.
It’s baby number two for Laura, 33, and husband Jon Gorrigan, who welcomed daughter Sidney Frances Gorrigan in May 2019.
Sharing a picture of her two children together, as well as the family lying together in bed and another of Jon holding the baby, she shared an insightful caption.
She wrote: ‘Our gorgeous little pre-Christmas bundle of joy arrived, at home, not long after putting our Strictly vote in last Saturday night 🙂
‘Faster than fast this little man came earth-side, one minute I’m going in for seconds on our evening curry and the next my husband is catching our baby boy on the living room floor, not even time to fill the pool let alone get in it.
‘I think one of the most incredible, powerful and crazy experiences of my life. The human body is truly and utterly mind blowing.’
She continued: ‘I took on a whole new approach to this pregnancy. Maybe it was covid anxiety, or that Jon wasn’t allowed to be part of our pregnancy until I took the reigns, or the fact I actually really opened up, learnt / researched / took an actual interest in the birthing process this time – whatever it was, this experience was entirely different.
‘Having a home birth was something I never imaged for myself until recently, nor was following a pre pregnancy programme and a more holistic approach to birth & labour – but I threw myself into something different and it really opened my mind.
‘Welcoming Remy James Gorrigan into 2020 is something I’ll never forget. That and watching my sister try to fill up the birthing pool just that bit faster – by using the glass blender jug.
‘Right then, time to put my feet up! Feel free to me send me a margarita in the post, and the number of a good carpet cleaner.’
