True crime YouTuber Eleanor Neale and MMA fighter JMX are among the online sensations that are starring in the first ever YouTube reality TV show.

Locked In, which hits screens on November 4, will see YouTubers stripped of all their technological devices and left in a house-share with no connection to the outside world for two weeks.

The stars, who have a combined 1.58billion YouTube views, will compete in daily challenges and secret tasks for a chance to win money for their charity of choice.

YouTubers who are entering the house include true crime vlogger Eleanor Neale, MMA fighter JMX, whose real name is Joel Morris, and football YouTuber SV2, also known as Eman Balogun.

Other contestants of the social media reality TV show will include YouTubers Bambino Becky, Mikes Comedy, Jordan Wilson and Nalmak.

The audience will have unique power over the housemates during the show, as they will be able to influence their lives from the comments section.

Everything from wake up calls to challenges for food will be in the audience’s hands as they test the resilience and ingenuity of their favourite YouTube stars.

One challenge that the stars will face is called Flatpackers, which will see the housemates building their beds without any instructions.

And if they cannot build their bed, they will be left without anywhere to sleep.

Secret tasks will also be tailor-made for some housemates to both disturb the ‘peace’ and give contestants certain privileges.

The online sensations’s day-to-day lives will be captured in a fly-on-the-wall experience using remote head cameras.

A ‘stock room’ will also give the housemates a chance to share their thoughts and feelings directly to the camera in private.

Si Lloyd, Footasylum’s Culture Marketing Manager, said: ‘Our most ambitious project to date, it will give our audience a full immersive experience and allow them to drive the narrative.’

The production team behind Locked In, Cowshed Social, have worked with a government advisor to ensure the web series complies with current Covid-19 rules.

The cast and crew will be tested for coronavirus before entering the house and put in an isolation period.

The cast will have no contact with the outside world for 14 days and the crew will live in ‘bubbles’ to stop the risk of contracting the virus.

CEO of Cowshed and executive producer George Cowin, said: ‘We have taken a typically conventional TV show format and flipped it on its head – reformatting it for the social world, all whilst having to work to very strict guidelines, put in place to keep our teams and the cast mates safe.’

The show, which has been launched by Footasylum, will run exclusively on the company’s YouTube channel for two weeks starting on November 4.

The winner of Locked In will be decided using an overall score, which will be determined by the YouTubers’s contribution and success in the challenges.
