‘If I didn’t look the way I did, I wouldn’t get very far’: Abbie Chatfield says she relies on being beautiful to make money and maintain her fame

Abbie Chatfield has credited her good looks as the secret behind her lasting success in the entertainment industry.

Speaking to Confidential  on Tuesday, the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner, 26, said she’s come to terms with the harsh reality of what it takes to become a reality star and social media influencer.

‘The whole platform (celebrity profile) was from how I look and my ti**ies’, she said.

Abbie admitted she desperately wants to share an non-airbrushed version of herself and her feminist beliefs on social media, but is under no illusion that looking attractive is the key to making money.

‘Some days I just want to cut all of my hair off and not care if I lose weight or gain weight, not care how I dress, I just want to be comfortable and then I think, I am not going to get anywhere and that is the harsh reality of it,’ she said.

The outspoken star found fame in 2019, placing runner-up in Matt Agnew’s season of The Bachelorette.

Despite receiving the ‘villain edit’, outspoken Abbie has since amassed a legion of dedicated fans thanks to her popular podcast and Instagram account.

It comes after Abbie revealed just how much money she makes from being a social media influencer.

Speaking to her fellow campers on I’m A celebrity last month, the curly-haired stunner explained: ‘I came out [of the Bachelor mansion] and I started to do Instagram stuff and was like, ‘Oh, this earns me like 10 times what I was earning in my old job”.

‘Everything that I get offered, I’m like, ‘Yep, yep’,’ she continued, while making a ticking gesture with her hand in the air.

Co-star Grant Denyer agreed with Abbie that you have to say yes to opportunities as ‘opportunities breed opportunities and the only way to get further ahead is [to] make yourself available’.
