Celine proudly shared a link to her first-born’s new music recorded by the 20-year-old and gushed about him on her Instagram Story.

‘I’m so proud of my son,’ she wrote. ‘My love for him is so strong, and it touches me deeply that one of his passions is also one of mine.’

Celine also posted a loving tribute to Rene-Charles the same month on the occasion of his 20th birthday on January 25.

She reflected on how his birth had made her dreams of being a mother come true and how fast two decades have passed.

In her post, she told her first born: ‘Go out there and embrace life, and remember to never stop believing in yourself, because I believe in you.

‘Remember also that your father is always watching over you and guiding you. We love you so much….’

Dion and Angelil, both from Quebec, first met when she was just 13.

He was a 39-year-old music manager still married to his second wife when he decided to devote himself to making her a star.

They started a relationship in 1988, three years after his divorce, but waited another six years before marrying due to sensitivity about how their romance would be publicly perceived.

Angelil succumbed to throat cancer on January 14, 2016, two days before his 74th birthday.

He was honored by the government of Quebec with a ‘national funeral’ at Notre-Dame Basilica in Montreal.
