James Jordan reveals his father has suffered another stroke

James Jordan has revealed that his father has suffered another stroke.

The former Strictly star, 42, took to Twitter on Monday to announce the news just weeks after his dad Alan was admitted to hospital with his first stroke.

James also urged doctors to get in touch with his anxious mother, Sharon, who has been without an update all weekend and is unable to visit Alan due to lockdown.

‘I now worry for my mums mental health and the rest of my family are struggling with anxiety including myself please call us.

‘I understand this is very difficult times for everyone and that the NHS are doing a brilliant job.

‘However, because family can’t be with their loved ones in hospital they should be giving regular updates to families who are struggling at home with insane worry and anxiety please.’

James revealed later on Monday that the hospital had finally got in touch and that his father had ‘gone downhill’ and would be having a scan.

In April, James revealed that his father tested positive for coronavirus whilst in hospital recovering from his first stroke.

The former Strictly star’s dad Alan was admitted to hospital in March after suffering a stroke, mere weeks after James welcomed his first child with wife Ola Jordan.

Whilst Alan was able to leave hospital for a brief period, he was readmitted in April with an infection in his arm, and since tested positive for COVID-19.

Taking to Twitter James penned at the time: ‘Just when you think things couldn’t get any worse! After being in hospital for nearly 2 weeks after his stroke my dad has now tested positive to coronavirus.

‘The sad thing is today he was supposed to be transferred to another hospital where he would have a TV. He was so excited’.
